This week saw the beginnings of my very first adult art
class. A group of women joined the morning class and evening class alike. I had
planned a still life , full of all sorts of fun things to draw. Avocado pears
in a jar; eggs in a box; eggs in a basket ; tomatoes in a bowl ; a basket a
fish and an ostrich egg. These were some of the things set before the class.
They arrived with excitement and anticipation. I was a
little nervous too. After all this is my very first adult class- ever.
I told the group something of myself and my journey with art
and so we began.
It was a delightful experience for me to watch these lovely
ladies as the buckled down to draw. In the first class I made the mistake of
allowing them to choose the size of paper. I had planned for the class to use
giant pieces of white paper. The class
chose small paper instead, except for one confident soul. In the end, my
original plan of using the large pieces was the better. I learnt from my
mistake!!
Here are some of the beautiful works of art created by these
students. Using 6B and other B pencils they drew the most beautiful work. I
hope you enjoy these.
